For me, my biggest struggle was staying committed to working out routinely and keeping a healthy diet. My frustration was purely me. I would find myself upset because I didn’t see results but I also wasn’t putting in the maximum effort to MAKE results happen either.

Joining CFF has hands down changed my life. When I moved to Chattanooga 2 years ago I was so worried about not making new friends or being too self-conscious to get out and do anything around here, but when I became friends with Chase’s cousin Rachael and she asked me to give CFF a try, I could not have made a better decision. Grant it,

I was scared!

I thought “these people who do this CrossFit thing are already fit! There’s no way I can keep up!”

And then, I was proved wrong. These people are everyday people trying to live a healthier lifestyle just like me.

After being at CFF a year now, those people who were strangers are now my family. Not only have I gained self-confidence and improved my overall health but I’ve gained some of the most amazing friends.

CFF has the best atmosphere and community of any gym I’ve ever seen. Everyone pushes one another to keep going in every workout. Not to mention the coaches are amazing at what they do and they truly care about your personal progress. The encouragement is so contagious.

I was self-conscious about my appearance. I found myself constantly trying to compare myself to other women- how their clothes fit them or how skinny or fit they were. My self-confidence was at a low and not to mention I felt more fatigued.

I felt weak. I felt tired constantly. I had back pain all the time.

Since joining CFF one year ago I’ve not only dropped weight but I’ve noticed such a difference in how my body is toned. I’m no longer fatigued or feeling bloated. I’ve transformed my diet. My back pain has subsided tremendously. And my mental health has benefited from this as well. My stress levels are lower and my confidence has boosted.

Joining CFF has helped me become more conscious of my diet and how it goes hand in hand with the work I’m putting in at the gym.

Life now is different because I’m more health conscious. I have taken my health more seriously after being here for the last year than I ever have. I am constantly trying to push myself to do more and be better. Not only that but having the encouragement from all of our fantastic members and coaches have truly helped me to realize that I’m capable of doing more than I think I can!

I would encourage ANYONE, NO MATTER YOUR FITNESS LEVEL to join! Our “family” would love to have you and you will not be disappointed in checking it out!

My biggest struggle was finding a gym that I enjoyed and also benefited me. I tried running, and did some long distance races, but didn’t see much change in my body composition or overall strength, and even damaged my foot in the process. I tried swimming, but without a team, it’s pretty boring in the pool swimming laps. I have a family and a full-time job, so I have a need to maximize my time and efforts. I’m extroverted, so I really enjoy doing things with other people, and get really discouraged when I try to do things alone. Finding something that encompassed more than one area of fitness was difficult.

Finding something that I could do and enjoy, while still having time for family. I have struggled with my weight and energy levels for some time (maybe 6 years?) and have tried to do a lot of different things, but nothing has really hit the mark until CFF. So, weight and enjoyable workouts that were worth my time were probably my biggest frustrations.

CFF has given me confidence, strength, endurance and a fit fam. It has changed the way I view and understand health and fitness.

Being overweight and unfit sucks. And, not just in the way you see yourself, but in the things you are able to do, or not do for that matter. So, it has taken an emotional toll, for sure. I was fit for the majority of my life, so to put on so much weight in the past 6 years, has been crushing. To know what my body used to be capable of, and how I used to feel when I was fit, has been really depressing in comparison to where I was before CFF. And, it’s not like I’m 75 years old! I’m 32. I feel like I haven’t been myself. I was certainly depressed for a while and feeling a bit hopeless. Like, how can I climb out of this hole I’m in?

Before my transformation and before CFF I felt Overwhelmed. Depressed. Unsure of myself and my ability to change.

Since joining CFF I have gained so much Confidence and Strength. I am stronger now than I have been in maybe 15 years? I’m obviously still overweight and have a lot of room to grow and weight to lose, but I feel stronger and more confident than I have in a long time. I have lost 9 pounds since January 1, 2018 (as of March 1) My energy levels are getting better. I actually want to be at the gym and am sad when I have to miss a workout.

CFF has helped me in so many ways. My confidence level. My ability to manage daily stress and meet the physical demands of my day. I’ve made so many great friends since joining CFF. It’s more than a gym. It really is a family. The model is so holistic (encompassing diet, exercise, relationships, support, etc) so the benefits are really far-reaching and so much more than just throwing heavy weight around.

My life since joining CFF is more fun and fulfilling. I am certainly on a journey and hope to get to do another one of these toward the end of the year when I hit my goal weight. But, the journey to reaching that goal is so much more fun and enjoyable than previous attempts (where I obviously failed!). CFF, and the community, really make the journey less like work/struggle and more like fun and fitness.

My Advice to people who might be on the fence about joining our amazing gym community would be to simply jump in!!

Whatever the “risk” is, it’s worth it. It most certainly is a worthy and wise investment.

My biggest struggle was nutrition and making time for the gym in my busy schedule. Kids, work, life, etc. I could make it to class 2-3 times a week. I travel a good bit for work which involved big dinners, drinks, entertaining clients, an unusual and unpredictable schedule, etc. During our initial consultation, Chase told me not to worry so much right now about eating right, he told me to start with baby steps and to simply cut out alcohol so I went from 247 to 230 by cutting out alcohol for 5 weeks. That was really good advice and I really noticed how nutrition had a bigger impact on weight than I truly realized. My frustrations were that I could not lose weight by working out alone.

Chase's advice changed my life.

Before my transformation, I was depressed, lacked energy and generally did not feel well. I was tired and lazy which just doubled my problem.

How has CFF helped me? Well, I cannot describe to anyone the support of the coaches and the community. I have had a ton going on both at home and professionally since August when I joined CFF. I started increasing the number of workouts. I started to put working out way up on my priority list. I have seen huge results in weight reduction (247 to 204), in strength, in performance in the gym, in energy, in my attitude, and in my life. I have a whole new group of friends that support me and help me through workouts and life. This place is awesome and I highly endorse the coaches and their advice.

Chase and Jake have really gotten me to buy in and it has made a huge difference.

Words cannot describe how different my life is. My life is totally different and will be so much better. You need to see the pictures of transformation because a picture is worth a thousand words! I only have pictures from 230ish to 204 but they are amazing and the nutrition plan/workouts/etc. were reasonable and with a little dedication were more than worth the effort.

So call Chase and Jake and join now!

I promise that if you put in the effort that you will see amazing results with CFF.

Every year as long as I can remember, I have always set goals for myself. Sure, they are
business goals, financial goals, family goals, spiritual goals, educational goals, personal goals
and fitness goals. The one goal I have yet to achieve is my fitness goal. You see, every year
the goal is the same. I want to look in the mirror one time during the year and say to myself,
“dang sister, you look good”. Unfortunately, I have not been able to meet that goal.

So, February 2017, a business associate suggested I go to Chattanooga Functional Fitness and
check out the facility. He didn’t know my REAL goal, he only knew I was someone who was
interested in fitness and took my health seriously. Upon his advice, I went to CFF and met with
Chase. He introduced me to the foundations class and I was hooked. I wasn’t completely
honest with Chase, I told him the usual stuff, my goal is to be fit and healthy. AND, I would like
to be able to do one pull up.

I have fallen in love with Chattanooga Functional Fitness. The coaches, Amanda, Chase, Jake,
John and Kasey are awesome. They will push me until I want to cry and pick me up and
encourage me to continue and strive for a personal best. Many times during the workout I will
moan and groan only to look forward to the next session.

I finally met my goal…..I am fit and healthy. I have lost ten pounds since joining CFF and gain
muscle mass. I am much stronger than I ever believed I could possibly achieve. AND, I can do
one pull up. BUT, the best thing, I finally looked in the mirror and said, “dang sister, you look
good!”

Thank you, Chattanooga Functional Fitness for helping me find myself and feel good about the
person in the mirror.

Before finding CFF I struggled with the lack of motivation. I moved to Chattanooga about 4
years ago, and before that, I would say I was athletic. I did cross fit and coached volleyball.
Exercise was a major part of my daily routine. When I moved to Chattanooga I fell out of the
routine and became LAZZYYY! I was so frustrated with the little amount I was doing, and I felt
really bad about how I was starting to look. I was working, sleeping, eating then repeat.

I was really frustrated because I knew what I looked like when I was in shape, so when I would
see pictures of me I would be really embarrassed. My clothes weren't fitting, I had no energy and Ijust felt BLAH!

Joining CFF a year ago was the best decision I could have FOR ME! I feel better about every aspect of my life! I feel like I look better, and I am confident when I take pictures or get dressed up to go
out. The biggest way that CFF has helped me, is to manage my stress. I work as a trauma nurse
at a level one trauma center, and my job can be stressful at times. I have noticed since I have
incorporated a regular workout routine, I am much more happy at work and I am able to handle the
stressors better. The CFF nutrition plan also changed my life. I joke all the time that it’s a LIFE
STYLE CHANGE not a diet, but it’s so true. I have learned that when I treat my body right, it
returns the favor.

If you asked me a year ago if I would work out every day before a 12 hour night shift, I would say
ehhhh maybe if I am not tooo tired. Now, I have realized that it is important for my sanity to
work out before I go to work. I feel more energized, happy, and relaxed when I am able to go to
CFF.

I love that CFF pushed me to be better in all aspects of my life. Not only do they help me
get fit, but they genuinely care about me. They ask about my career, my goals, my nutrition-
they see me as a whole person and not just an athlete.

I love Chattanooga Functional Fitness! It’s by far, my favorite hangout in the evening! The saying, "I've come along way baby", I can relate too!

I've gained endurance, strength and I’ve lost over 50lbs!! You have to set goals for yourself, get into the right mindset and the coaches at CFF will make it happen!

I couldn't have reached my goals without my amazing coaches. They’re always pushing you and most importantly they’re always watching/teaching you how to use correct form. I've never been a weightlifting person until I walked into CFF. Now, I can clean, jerk and snatch! Being 47 years old and deadlifting 200lbs never felt so good.

What challenges you will change you!

Chase, I truly believe CFF, is the best in Chattanooga. You've got a great gym going! Keep up the great work you guys are doing.

To be completely honest, I was really nervous to start this new fitness journey at Chattanooga functional fitness, but, once I finished my free intro week with my coaches, I was more excited than anything!

They made me feel "at home" within my new gym community. I knew it would be a great lifestyle change, but I had NO idea how truly awesome it would be in other areas too!

I'm stronger, I have more energy and I actually look forward to going to the gym now. I have made tons of new friends, and don't look too bad now either! The CFF community made all the difference in the world and I'm so thankful for the CFF coaches who believe in me more than I believe in myself sometimes. Thanks, Chase, Amanda and Jake, I'm glad I don't look like a huge blueberry anymore!
